I was introduced to art at an early age. Drawing was a way for me to pass the time when I struggled to sit still as a child. My big sister, father, and maternal grandfather were all also natural artists and were a great influence on me. For the longest time I didn’t think I was as good as them, so I didn’t want anyone to see my artwork. I would sit and draw in my closet for hours. Drawing and painting ended up being more therapeutic for me and was a way for me to clear my mind when I was stressed or upset. For me it’s always been a form of meditation helping me keep this busy mind of mine calm. The day I finally decided to come out of the closet about my artistic abilities left the people closest to me in shock because they never knew art was my hidden talent. Over the years I started experimenting with different styles of art like realism, pop art, anime, epoxy resin and glass art. During the pandemic I lost my job and ended up taking an interest in anime after I got several requests to paint different anime characters. My first anime client wanted me to paint him a painting of Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho. I learned that I was quite good at painting anime art and never looked back since.
